I'm William Chen
20+ years in tech — engineer, product manager, data analyst. Now I ship full-stack products solo with AI, from idea to launch.
My Story
Two decades in engineering, product management, and data — I knew how to build, ship, and measure. But most of my energy went into alignment, not execution.
In 2023, I enrolled in Minerva University's master's program to reset.
Then AI hit a tipping point.
In May 2025, Claude Code launched and I was one of the first to use it. Four months — a full SaaS (AI Resume Advisor). Two weeks — Chrome and Edge Extensions. Three days — NeatToolkit, 4,000 users on day one. This site, two days.
All solo.
The real shift: I can now take a product from idea to launch — design, frontend, backend, deployment, SEO — without waiting for a team.
Direction over speed. Systems over goals.
Most people chase AI tools without knowing what to build. I do it the other way around — find the direction first, build a compounding workflow, and use AI as the lever. Repeat the simple things. Let time do the rest.

Tech & Tools
Outcomes · anonymized
Leading new-energy battery maker · formulation R&D
BatteryPEML, 4-month pilot: 3 in-development high-nickel chemistries moved to structured experiment logs, 11 formulation versions, 240+ controlled runs; cross-team lookup that took 3–5 person-days now reproduces in under 30 minutes. Experience that lived in senior engineers' heads became a path newcomers follow.
Large industrial-software implementation partner · delivery
RD&L implementation copilot rolled out internally over 6 months: 9 implementers reused one URS → FDS translation checklist, cutting the two-week project-start phase to 3–4 days; delivery knowledge went from "mentor-gated" to a searchable asset. First-pass on-site acceptance improved, rework cycles visibly down.
Three agentic workflows · live business
Baize (complex-deal simulation), BatteryPEML (formulation R&D), and Nüwa (agent orchestration) each validated in real customer scenarios, with independent acceptance and cost dashboards. Full case set (industry, scale, metrics, NDA) available on request.
Anonymized names and figures; the full case set (industry, scale, metrics, under NDA) is available by email.
